2 hamsters reserved @ Cardiff Queens Arcade to be collected by close of store tomorrow. I know it sounds daft but I reserved them just to stop shameless greedy ebayers doing so. If anyone wants the code, PM me :)

I understand the sentiment here but I think as we have said before , there will be many ebayers on here (greedy or just plain normal!). I think offering them here might make it easier for ebayers to get them as this thread has become so well known. Leaving them there might have been a fairer option? but each to their own.

I stress this because this morning when watching for balls on ebay I noticed a set of 4 hamsters ending at nearly £90. The seller was instantly recognisable as someone who has contributed and commmented on this thread frequently. It could well be that they acquired 4 extra hamsters accidentally (many of us know how difficult it is to order and then not know if something is coming and end up with too many). The point is you have no way of knowing so if you want to offer reservation codes be aware that they may go to ebayers or desperate parents but you will never know for sure.

BTW I feel the need to stress that the above poster (who will remain nameless) was definitely NOT maxi. I add that because maxi is the most well known (and helpful imo) and I would hate for someone to think I was hinting it was her when that is not the case at all.

Hiya again i was looking through my local listings on gumtree (google gumtree) and i saw a person selling a hamster for £25 it may be worth your while to look in your local area to see if anyone is selling them. I am based in Glasgow if anyone wants to seach it.

I have no interest in these items but i feel like i should try and help others if i see something that may help.

Thats kind, but £25. is a higher price than many hamsters are selling for on ebay.

Ha, ha, if I'd got £90 for 4 hamsters, I'd be on the easy jet site now booking a ticket to go somewhere to de-stress :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I understand what you have said, but I felt that if i could help anyone on this thread then i would do so, as everyone has been so helpful towards me. I do realise that i run the risk of passing the code onto an ebayer.. but the benefit of passing it onto a frantic parent far outweighs the risk in my eyes.

Furthermore, I'm not sure that I have done anyone a dis-service by reserving these 2 hamsters. In the event that nobody wants the code then the stock will be re-available in Cardiff tomorrow. And, they had several in stock so I didn't take the last ones.

  • I think we should try and get Character to re-list their stock :) We should all bring our Hamsters and take them outside their premises in a mass Hammie protest :)

It is really out of order for that person to do that  - either that or it is a very spooky coincidence with the name?
