Have you not heard of the christmas spirit? We really aren't taking it all that seriously, its a bit of fun, a game and yes now a bit of an addiction!! We aren't doing any harm... we just want our kids to have a fab xmas.
All those sour faced scrooges please leave ....
:rotfl:Some of us are! (tee hee!)
I haven't really just dug up an old credit card just incase hamster balls come in to stock as my card was cancelled by the bank today because somebody was making fraudulent transactions!
The funny thing is my kids don't know the ball exists and won't be in the slightest bit disappointed if they don't get it for xmas.
But I know the ball exists! and I want it!

was it billet street or hankridge ive just phoned hankridge and they said they havnt any in for days ?????
It was Hankeridge, not sure if there are any add-ons left, but there were at least 4+ hamsters [he saw Pipsqueak but couldn't ID others - he isn't an obsessive pro like me!!].

That's it for Hooray - no more cancellations - you've bled them dry of all their stock now and no more expected in time for xmas...but no doubt they will be getting more stock in, in the New Year, possibly including some of the new hammies / bits to go with the range...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0

What station? footie on here!Comping addict since 2007 - still waiting for 'the big one' :j0 -
Yes you have a point Maximouse, I think I need to set myself a deadline and then go on ebay and just get it at whatever price.
I am like you, the laptop has become a drug, I am even neglecting my kids because of it (not physically obviously but emotionally), they even had sandwiches for tea yesterday which they never do, its always meat and veg etc...
Think I need to get it into perspective and get rid of these dark circles under my eyes!!! Need some early hamster free nights!!
Deadline is 1st December definitely.:TA small Thank You can make a BIG difference0 -
I think that's the million dollar question and I can only go off what we, as a collective forum, have managed to gleam from various sources. According to the character website when they originally had expected dates, they said 18/12 for carriers / beds and I think with courier service, they might have just have made Xmas. However, with recent events of everyone F5ing, they haven't been able to list anything because the sheer volume of people kept crashing the website. So my understanding from what a few people have said is that they have distributed their stock to retailers (playsets - ball, surfboard, skateboard, may be some hammies and houses but not add ons (car, wheel, slide) unless any came into the country that were originally destined for the retailers anyway). So the best chance to get anything is at places like TJ Hughes, Wilkinsons, Argos, Toysrus, Asda, Tesco, sainsburys, local toyshops etc and may be some online retailers but even they will only have miniscule amounts to stock their stores / websites compared to the demand. And it looks like anything that is going out on the shelves is being spread thinly and drip fed. So realistically, you've got to think about how much time you are spending on this quest, if most of the people were just getting the minium wage for each hour spent refreshing websites, we'd have a tidy sum. And trawling around the shops, public transport or petrol / car parking charges etc etc and even if you saw what you wanted online, you'd still have to pay postage and many of the retailers both in store and online have hiked their prices up. So thinking about all this, then some of the ebay prices are actually realistic as it is what you would be paying anyway in your time, petrol, P&P etc etc etc. And above all, think of your health, I was so busy on my request a few weeks ago that I didn't hardly eat or sleep and I had permanent bags under my eyes and lost 1 1/2 stone!!! So anyway, everyone has got to think about what is important to them and also do your children actually need all the things you are trying to get them. Most will be so over-awed at what santa and relatives bring, that they wouldn't even notice that they didn't have all the hamster bits.
Hi..thankyou for putting all this hamster hunting into perspective!!0
