Argos website has been changed. Instead of having to search store by store, it seems to be showing the stock status for all stores around with one click, not that there is any near me, but it might be a quicker search for people

a few weeks ago when they still had hamsters for sale, I put 2 in my basket and then couldn't find my bank card so left it. A few days later I went back on to the site and the items were still in my basket (and I had found my card) so I went through checkout, my transaction went through and I recieved a confirmation email. It was only after that i noticed that all hamsters were out of stock (so thought I had got the last 2). That night I got a phone call from yorkshire toys saying that they didnt have any left and they were concerned over how I had managed to place an order when all the stock had gone - seems I had exposed a loophole in their system. They said they were going to speak to their IT guy and get it fixed....but reading through some earlier posts regarding the carriers listed last night it sounds like a few of you have done the same thing......if you were one of those that put items in your basket and then came back much later to pay - you might want to check with them that your order still stands.

They may well have fixed it, but better to know for sure.

Have to finish off by saying the guy at yorkshire toys was really nice and helpful.....and he did help me get the two hamsters I needed after all.

How did you manage to do that? I've just tried and had to search individual stores.

wow that is much better, keep an eye on ebay for those people listing argos reservation codes - this will make it easier for them too - report them to ebay. all slightly irrelevant as they have no stock!!

Just had a look at Argos and I'm not getting a full list, just a few in my area and I still have to look at only two stores at a time....
