£7000 isn't a huge debt so don't panic! You've got to take the bull by the horns and start dealing with it!
OK - you're not working with 2 little ones in a rented house - Are you getting all your benefits??
The Job Centre will give you a letter to take to the post office to open an account if you can't get a basic account anywhere else.
DO NOT take a Provi loan. Contact one of the debt charities who will help you for free. Your creditors cannot take money you don't have. You can make arraangements to pay back a token amount until you get your finances in order.
The debt is the east bit to sort out - the hard bit is changing your spending habits so you don't get into debt again!!
Must dash - will be back later!!

You might be best to re-post this on the Debt Free Wannabe board here - lots of very helpful, and non judgemental people0

Sorry! Really didn't mean to sound judgemental. Tillymay - Just wantedto get across to you that no one can take money you don't have. Using the template letter and debt advisory charities, will get your creditors off your back long enough to come up with a plan.
If you do one thing today - post your SOA on the DFW board, phone the CCCS,
its a start to a debt-free life!!
Good luck - here,s to being in control of your own destiny and sleeping well again at night xxOne life.0
