Ill health

Options
I will be shortly retiring through ill health.
I will have £22000 lump sum .AND have A £19000 MORTGAGE .
MY pension will only be about £250 per month.and £64.30 per week emp. suuport allowance.my mortgage payments are £401 per month.
wiife is retired 0n £108 per week
Should I CLEAR MY MORTGAGE totally undecided what to do.
I am unable to work and 60 YEARS OLD.

    Think you need advice from a recomended financial advisor if you can't get this advice from your employer. You might be better off on the mortgage-free wannabe or pensions, annuities and retirement planning board.

    I would suggest you post this on the debt free wannabe section of the forum. The people over there will be able to give you plenty of advice and help as to what to do.
