Firefox won't open.

It has been working fine but today I can't open firefox. I have recently installed Zone Alarm Pro but this didn't cause a problem yesterday. Firefox takes me straight to google.
I have checked the settings for firefox in zone alarm and its all ticked / trusted zone.

Firefox is working without problems on my second computer using the free zone alarm.

Clearly the only difference between both computers is you have 'pro' running
Surely that MUST be the problem if youve not changed anythng else?

You say it won't open and then it takes you straight to Google?

What happens when it won't open?

(Google is the page that opens in my firefox browser.)

It just brings up the timer and then it disappears. Nothing opens.

I believe firefox pro is the cause, but I don't know how to solve it.

Since I posted this problem it has allowed me to open one firefox page but no more. This was after I restarted the computer.

I too gave zonealarm a go, but had all sorts of problems getting firefox to work with it so jacked it off

ZoneAlarm works fine with my setup including Firefox, been using ZA for many years. But I'm not using the Pro version, although have it to test...

Can you just remove Firefox from the firewall list, or set it all to "?" so it asks the first time it runs. Else reinstall FF and see if it makes a difference.

Surely it would be relatively easy to turn off Zone Alarm, thus enabling you to see if it's stopping Firefox from opening?

We know it is Zone Alarm pro stopping the firefox browser as I can't open firefox on the computer using Zone Alarm Pro but Firefox is working without problems on my second computer using the Free Zone Alarm.

I've unistalled the Pro version and re-installed the free version and the firefox browser is working again.
