Lost my recipe for Carrot lentil and tomato soup

Hi all I wonder if you can help.

Last autumn I used a recipe for a tomato, carrot and lentil soup, I think it might have been topped with cheese and had other ingredients in it.

Now the cold weather has started I have gone to make it, but can't find where I saved it.

Does anyone remember it, it was very yummy and had lots of responses on the thread.

Thanks

was so excited to post I didn't read the thread title properly and my recipe doesn't include tomato or cheese, must have failed the test after all :rotfl:

You could substitute some of the stock for a tin of tomatoes and sprinkle grated cheese on the top as you serve it up :D

  • Many thanks to soappie for the recipe, Counting Pennies, I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction for what you want without any initiation ceremony ;)

once I've worked out my S&S  from my preferred R&R I'll pop back and let you know how the soup goes :D

S&S is what Flyladies do everyday! We Swish and Swipe - e.g. wipe the kitchen surfaces or dust something - not a deep clean, just a sort of quick once over, lick and a promise type of thing.

Do let me know how the soup goes. For added depth (and as long as you're not vegetarian) you can crisp up some finely chopped streaky bacon with the carrots etc.

Confession time, I've been to the co-op, (I don't spend my life in there honest, I only go about twice a week.:rotfl:), got carried away and bought 2kg of reduced carrots for 25p and just over a 1kg of tomatoes for 40p. Can I make a soup of the two, combined if possible without ending up with a just a mess of pottage iyswim.

I have one lonely parsnip, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, but not a lot in the herb department, dried thyme and oregano, also got Worcester sauce and tomato puree.

I'm not sure if the two will go together, or should I do them separate.
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.
