Harrods will start selling gold bullion and coins over the counter.
"Aimed at private investors, the gold will be sold at the Harrods Bank branch on the lower ground floor of the West London store.
Poor interest rates and falling property prices have left wealthy investors looking for alternative asset classes to put their money into. A weak dollar yesterday pushed the gold price to a record high of $1,072 an ounce."
Sell signal on the gold bubble?

wow 12.5kg gold bar off the self, are they really going to sell that for 275k
Its sell signal if they dont also buy gold at a decent price which I suspect they dont. The gold vending machines in germany were more so because thats mainstream, when 1 gram gold bars hit the local newsagents that would be a sell signal if it werent in competition with bank of england for mass supply0
