  • they are £125 at asda at the moment. hth
  • Just a thought, but do you really need to go for the DSi ? In my opinion the addition of a simplistic gimmicky camera and very slightly bigger screen is not worth the extra 40 pounds (140 Amazon). Likewise do not mistakenly go for the Nintendo DS which seems to be still available at some on line stores and is an older version than the DS Lite.

Nintendo DS Lite best price new I have found is 99.00 at Amazon & Play with free P&P. PC World is 99 but postage is extra. Amazon are doing the console with Professor Layton & the Curious Village for 118.00 or inc Big Brain Academy for 107 (Prof Layton is the best game imo)

Some Amazon "re-sellers" are selling cheaper but they are either refurbished or second hand.

In any event - if you can get it for less than 99 I think you will be doing well

    Good Luck !

how about recommend a site for the cheapest DSi from the ones you tried before? thx in advance
  • Hi
Been looking myself as daughter wants to upgrade to dsi with birthday money. Convinced her not worth it at £150 but we did try to locate a red one (ha!) when Sainsbury had them at £119. No luck!

Not sure but think the ASDA one is £125 when buying a top 35 ds game - cheapest I saw in there was £19.

Have looked at Toys r Us and phoned and found they have the bundle with My Sims Kingdom, SIMS Animals and either Thrillville..... or Zubes for £149.99.
What I want to know is, what is the trade in price for these games? i.e. is it worth buying the set then at least trading in the games for something wanted. Still pay out the £150 but get games (or whatever at GAME) that she wanted.
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

I too am looking for a good deal on DSI - not fussed about the colour. Also dont mind if its a bundle deal with games or without.

    Thanks Alot
  • Ive managed to order a dsi from VERY using ZG003 got £30 off £60 spend and free delivery using code XX728 with coded cost £119 total hope this helps:j
  • I'd suggest the catalogue route. There tends to be codes on the voucher code board. And as long as you have not had the catalogue before, you should be ok.

I have just bought one from Additons that worked out at £122 with delivery. I am keeping it in the box at the moment till the invoice comes through to make sure they honour the code. lol.. Some people have had problems in the past. (But usually the people who attempt to use lots of codes on catalogues owned by the same company)
I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 2010

There are a few more differences between the DS Lite and DSi.

For starters the DSi looks much better, the DS Lite has issues with the hinge snapping, the DSi has an SD card slot to play mp3s etc, the DSi has the camera & picture editor function built in, the DSi has the sound editor recorder function built in, picture and sound quality is better on the DSi.

    The list goes on......

My son has a DSi, my two nieces has DS Lite and I am not just saying it but the DSi is much better.

I was lucky enough to get mine when game had there trade in offer on, 15 games for the DSi, worked out at around £50 after buying up a load of cheap games, plus I got free insurance and an accessory pack.
  • I got the black one from very.co.uk for £119 with the £30 off code.
Anyone know why they don't stock the pink one here?
