Work from home???

Options
Hi ,, I have recently broken my tibia and fibula ( right leg ) in a motor cycle accident and now have got a Taylor spatial frame ( traction ) bolted in through the outside of my , I was a self employed roofer and did not have appropriate insurance to cover my loss of earnings, me and my partner have a mortgage to pay and a 3 year old daughter who we are still paying school cost for as she missed out on free schools by a few days - now child tax credits has stopped helping us because only 1 of us is working ( my partner only works part time for Bristol city council as a support worker ) plus all of our other costs. The government say that we not entitled to employment and support allowance and we are not entitled to disability living allowance, my daughter’s school is now considering releasing her because we are accumulating a debt with them. To cut a long story short does anybody know any way that I can earn money from home I am willing to do almost anything within reason like stuffing envelopes.
Thanks Mike

    Hi Mike

it seems you are having a bad time of it all but i am sure it will get easier for you and and your family,

The only things that i can think of at home worth doing are,

Online surveys (plenty of threads on here)
The daily clicks on cashback sites (again loads of info here)
Cashback sites in general for all insurance/banks/ other things you NEED

Just been reading a thread on ARISE working at home but i was a little unsure but you may fancy it.

    Head up
  • Hi - have you enquired with citizens advice bureaux about the benefits??? My partner had a major car crash last november and had lots of metal/bone stuff done! He still cannot bend his knee and due to his line of work, landscaper, he cannot return to work...he gets alot of pain simply from 5 mins walk and cannot walk further than about 50 yards.

Anyway,he was told he could not get DLA or ESA but then went to CAB who advised him otherwise and heled him along the way.....to be honest, DLA was a REAL pain and it took 5months to get....he got turned down once and then sent it back to be looked at and has now been awarded high rate mobility and low rate care!! ESA - also a pain but got there in the end!!! So, check it out with Citizens Advice! Worth another try!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • hi thanks for the replys and i will be getting in touch with cab. mike
