I believe that there is a code of conduct which says that they are not supposed to telephone you after (I think) 9pm.
Not sure about the Sunday thing.

I won't put up with calls at all and anything outside business times they get told off for. All bad debt is in OHs name so they shouldn't really call me anyway.

    !!!

No, its not Next! Halifax and Abbey are driving me mental.

It was Egg 2 weeks (and 5 calls a day!) to get the message. As I refused to go through my security details with them, they insistantly kept calling. Now its the first time I have EVER missed a payment on Egg, and they called me over (must be about) 60 times ......... for £4.62 minimum payment!!!!

    Bless em!

I never get cross (although Egg were pushing it!) and all are told I will not discuss this on the phone and please put it in writing - then hung up.

But Sunday is a bit annoying! As if the kids yelling wasn't enough!

I am reporting Halifax/bank of scotland for harassment, they have called me so many times over the last few weeks. They even REFUSED a payment once when i refused to tell them when i was sending a budget plan (that I was never going to do).
Keep a record of when they call you and ask for the name of the person calling you. YOu never know when it will come in useful and I wished I had done it.

  • they can call every day of the week not after 9pm most dca etc will ring 2-3 times a day just refuse over the phone chitt chatt and hung up they soon get the message and if it realy bugs you change your number ,when i was in debt i told them once by letter only and just hung up it becomes pointless in the end if you just hang up but do converse by letter as things do need soughting etc
