today i recieved a letter from these (dated 24th July 2009)
Dear Rachel,
thank you for your recent correspondence:based on the information provided i am unable to trace your account.
In order for me to review your aco!!!! could you please provide me with the following information:
our ref num which will have been provided on any comms for us
current and previous address
original creditor client ref num
blah blah blah


now the problem is i do not know who this company is, i have never dealt with this company and have never sent them any corresponance or anything.
who are they and what should i do?

They are a scandianvian outfit that collects all sorts of dubious debts, mostly those for which there is inadequate documentation.

Ignore at the moment.

I have just got a debt written off frm these they couldn't prove the debt was mine.. Watch what info you give to anyone and never sign anything..

If you have had no dealings with them, then it is probably a fishing letter. They send them out to people with similar names or people at previous known addresses trying to chase the person who owes the debt.

If it is not you, just ignore or if you can next time send back, Return to Sender, Not at the address.

thing is there was nothing on the envelope to say what company it was, i didnt kno who it was from til i saw it on the letter.
