Getting payment for incomplete mystery shopping.

I want to get peoples opinions on whether companies should make some payment for incomplete shops as a result of you not at fault.

Take for instance if you schedeuled to do a mystery shop and as you began the assesment the fire alarm went off in the store and you had to leave

You report back to the company what has happened and they ask you to redo the assement as soon as possible.

They however do not mention of paying anything for the incomplete first assesment.

Would you bring up that they should make some payment for this or would you not bother ?

i would not bother as i only try and do MS in places that i will be in for any other reason

I'd chase them for partial payment, kinda like a callout charge. I take it you accrue expenses through travelling etc, you shouldn't have to come up with entirely out of your own pocket...

I would ask politely if there was an option for partial payment but I wouldn't demand it.

It must vary by company. I have done partial visits because of fire alarms and waiting wallking out after waiting a certain time and th queue hasn't moved, and the companies have paid me.
