Maternity Leave

My husband and I are begining to consider starting a family but I am also looking for new jobs. I am a civil servant and have been for 7 years and any new position that I am looking for will be within the civil service. What I am wondering, if there are any Civil Service HR bods out there ... would I have to be in any new position for a year before full maternity leave entitlement or would it carry over from my current position?
