Cake Help Please

Both my sons have their birthdays on the same day (they're not twins - just flipping awkward!). I've baked the sponges I need to make their cakes but I'm not planning on constructing or icing them til Friday. Will the cakes be ok just clingfilmed until then or should I freeze them?

I'd freeze them, think they'd go a bit stale before friday. Best to be safe than sorry, you'd hate to find they're gone all gross on Friday!

Yes, freeze them. As muppet says they have a risk of getting yucky so freeze them and take out em out the morning of the party.

My mum swears that her sponges are even better after they've been frozen so I'd agree freeze them. I'd take them out the night before you need them.
