how do you mend clear bra straps?

I´ve got quite a few clear plastic bra straps which have broken.... because the clear plastic bit (that goes thro the material loop on the bra) has snapped, so metal replacement seems to be the way to go so...
I have tried cutting up other detachable material straps and then threading the clear strap thro metal hooks that come from the other detachable straps but..... I´ve tried glueing (superglue, evostick etc) the end of the strap after looping it thro the hook, but noting I´ve found so far seems to work...stitching would make the strap split and my gadget that seals plastic bags doesn´t work either...so has anyone any other ideas please

Hmm - an eyelet/paper fastener to grip the 2 parts together?
Or new straps? May be able to get them cheaper than this with a bit of searching? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Senza-Clear-Replacement-Straps-Narrow/dp/B001GJ7GUG (just searched for "replacement clear bra straps)

Thanks, but I think eyelet or paper fastener might be a bit scratchy and would discolour.
I had looked at buying yet more straps, (that´s why I´ve got so many odd ones with different ´hooks´) but wanted something a bit more money saving0 -
Try some Tenacious Tape. It's clear and is used for repairing tents, outdoor clothing and all sorts of stuff and belive me, that stuff is STICKY. You can wash it too.Val.0
