Bankrupt or what?

My friends mum has overspent big time on credit cards and is almost 100,000 in debt - despite being 70 her husband is still working self employed and is not aware of all her debt. Can she go bankrupt? Will he or the children inherit her debt or is there a way she can make things better? I know I can't do more than try and give them good advice - with your help?

she can make herself bankrupt. she wil have to raise the fee £450.
The OR will want to know whow so much debt was incurred. How old is she? if she incurred credit whilst unemployed or retired and on limited income, the OR may target her case for a Bankruptcy Restriction Order, as it would appear that she has incurred the credit without reasonable prospect of repaying it.0 -
Thanks for reply - she's 67 but I don't know how long she's been gathering debts. She was employed part time up till a year ago I think she is just spending as she used to when younger and with a large family!0

so the OR may look at getting copy statements to establish how much she has incurred in the last 2 years since she was retired. If she incurred a significant (ie £5K or more) amount of debt through spending when she ought to have known she could not repay it (eg on a state pension) then she may be investigated further..0

As far as I understand it a troll is someone who browses forums, and either posts crap replies to serious threads, or starts pointless, untrue threads themselves just to generate a bit of attention / hysteria / panic from people who take them at face value as serious people.
Replying to, arguing with, or trying to humour such a person is called "feeding the trolls"
Never really seen the point myself, and I certainly can't see the point of trolling a money / debt management forum. I can understand a spammers point of view - they're out to screw you and make a couple of quid for themselves. But trolls? Why? Why?
Low self esteem? Very bad interpersonal skills? Small sexual organs? Too much time on their hands? Not much luck with the opposite sex? Can't help with that one I'm afraid!:p0 -
Must stress I was referring to trolls in general just there and not Kambinky - I have no knowledge of any prior threads he has posted, or whether he's genuine or not.0

If my questions were deleted I guess I put them in the wrong place - I am genuinely trying to get some advice from this site but am not very au fait with the computer - hence I've only just come across this message!0

i dont reasly care if they are a troll or not,
the situation / scenario could be real
in factsi have dealt with lots of cases exactly like this, and if the fact that going bankrupt is not such a easy option sinks in for those people who obtain further credit with the knowledge that they cannot pay it back, then that is in my opinion a good thing.0
