I'm self employed and also employed. It's straightforward in my case. My employee status is PAYE, so tax is dealt with by my employer, I also do an annual tax return online which calculates my overall tax liability and I pay what I owe (or they pay me what they owe me) But it's all worked out for you anyway. I pay self employed NI.
I seem to remember having a form that asked which was my main job and as the self employment paid more I put that one.
No idea if any of that helps, but it really isn't a problem!

Your first £110 pw from your second job is free of NIC - the rest is charged at 11%.
tax depends on how much you earn in your main job. If all your personal allowances are used up, then you would pay ay 20%.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
That's great, thanks very much for your help!
Another daft question, sorry, i have only started the new job this week so presume the employer sends off the P46 and ring the tax people.
As my gross wage will be higher than my s/e job, do i tell them that's my main job or keep paying NI myself.
Sorry for waffling, i am very confused and head hurting0
