Hullo!!
Where can I get a laundry ball from? I am going to make my own fabric conditioner and I need something like this to put it in as the machine I use doesn't have a drawer.
Hope someone can help!!
Thanks! xx

When you say a laundry ball do you mean like the ones they used to give out years ago when they first invented those concentrated washing powders and they said to put the ball straight into the machine, not to use the drawer?
Or have a I misunderstood ?0 -

I suppose if you put fabric conditioner in it, you would have to stop the machine and open the door before the rinse cycle in order to put it in.....otherwise the fabric softener would just get washed away as the clothes were being washed, but other than that I don't see why it wouldn't work.
My mum is the most shocking hoarder, I bet she's got about 50 of those laundry balls in her utility room, bless her, probably just waiting for the day when someone would ask her if she had one and she can say "I do, as a matter of fact!". :rotfl:
But other than nipping round to my mums, I can't think where you could get your hands on one. Maybe the Lakeland website? they sell every gadget under the sun......0 -
why dont you try contacting unilever and asking them to send you one?
or one of the other manufacturers - i'm sure they will cos they still sell the liquids dont they? when they first came out it was sometimes quite hard to get one. Other than that dont one of the supermarkets sell their liquid detergent or fabric softener with a ball on the top? I know it means buying one bottle but at least you have the ball for afterwards!
I think I threw away a couple of extras I had only last month otherwise I would have posted you one. I will have a look in my cupboard just in case.
Edit: I do have an old ariel one with the extra little ball your supposed to rub on the stains - will that do? I can post it to you if you like? let me know.
Edit again: confused here - if your machine doesnt have a drawer - how do you put the powder in?0 -

I ordered a free laundry net from here this morning (can;t get on with those daft cotton bags they supply for soap nuts and my old net has worn out after 4 years!)
I think they also do those dosing balls - best bit is it's free0 -

Ah ha! I have a laundry room in my block of flats and it's one of those old speed queen jobbies which opens at the top!!:p So I get a tablet and put it in a net and put it in with the clothes. And to be MSE I only use one tablet instead of two!!:cool:Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j
