Any1 know of any decent florists?

Friends of mine are getting married this month and I would like to send them a decent sized bouquet fit for a wedding. I’m not worried about the price, nevertheless, if anyone knows of a reasonably good one at a decent price that would help a great deal.

Thanks very much

  • Depends where they live,
    go to
    www.findflorist.co.uk
put in the post code and find the nearest florist to the recipient,
    a) this usually means you do not have to pay delivery,
    b) and avoiding relay as the relay florist or company like interflora, flowergram etc gets up to 10- 20% of the amount to do this, cutting into your outlay bigtime!
    c) as to finding the best in the area, that's another matter, but you can see the ones who have websites links at the above link and for the cost of a call you can find out what there manner is, very quickly. ie are you getting the hard sell! Doing it online is a recipe for mediocrity-no. matter how much you are paying.
    d) give good notice, ensuring the freshest flowers are obtained from the dutch suppliers so that the bouquet lasts.

    hope this helps

  • My partner is a Florist based in Bolton, Lancashire.

I must admit he does the best flowers ive seen - always gets thankyou cards and gifts etc.

You could contact me and i will pass it on for you. All flowers are sent overnight by courier.

Or to save on postage try your local flower shop

I would not rely on Valueflora for something as important as wedding flowers !!!! They do okay first time around, after that the quality drops big style !!! Still in dispute over flowers recently received !!!

Maybe you could ask on the regional boards for a recommendation. Or if you tell us were you want the flowers maybe someone on here could suggest somewhere.

I think I put my query in the right place - Local MoneySaving - I entered the exact request I entered here too. I only got 6 viewings only in 2 days so I think I will try one of the florists I found on findflorist.co.uk. I think this is my best bet. After all as I have said I’m not worried about the price and I don't want to delay this to long either. 2 local florist came up one of which I am sure will be a bit cheaper than the other but I will check them out anyway.

Thanks again for all your tips

Try https://www.Valueflora.com I sent mum some Freesias which were on special offer 50 for £7.99 they were perfect, they have different offers on and you can also choose by flower.

    Great bargain and great quality.

Thanks again guys. I haven’t sent anything to them yet as they were on their honeymoon in Italy <lucky sods>. I will though sometime in the near future.

I intend to get quotes from the 2 local florists first and maybe as suggested by sukindred try and see what they will charge for simply interflora too.
