Electoral Roll question

I am looking to take on a personal loan in April for a new car. Currently I have a default on my file that will fall off my credit file following a 6 year period (Dec 2003), thus improving my credit score. In addition to this, I have recently moved and have just sent off the new electoral roll canvas to update my current address with my details.

My question is, how often is the electoral roll updated and when can I expect my details to be reflected on the register?

Thanks

If you registered during the 'canvass' period, the electoral roll will get updated in December.

Thanks for the reply. Any idea how often it updates?
  • I thought it updated monthly? I live in Edinburgh and Im sure thats what they told me when I first moved here. I phoned the assessors office and im sure thats what they said.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

It is monthly when you don't register yourself between August and November. This is known as 'rolling registration'.

However, if you register yourself on the electoral roll between August and November, you get added on 1 December. This is know as the 'annual canvass'.

NO as long there is no assocation like joint bank accounts, or shared mortgage!
