Shopping!

Tomorrow and Wednesday, I get to go shopping for crafty bits. I'm really exited but I dont have a clue what to get. Too much stuff! :rotfl: I know I need to get some stuff for pots of gold and a few other bits as well for various things I'm working on but I thought I'd ask if anyone else here has seen anything they thought would be really good to get?

Our Boots had packs of 5 socks for a pound, good for sock monkeys

I did that on Saturday - I love shopping for craft bits

I got spice jars and candle holders from IKEA for sweetie jars and pots of gold. Hobbyycraft has lots of lovely christmassy stuff out now, eg. xmas cello wrap was half price (99p). I spent aaaages in there lol. Got loads of different sweets from poundstretcher and Asda, I got a big box of craft stuff just waiting to be made up now.:j

Write yourself a list of stuff you want to make, and what you need for each one, then look out for bargains :T

Is it too late to start a scrapbook? Apparently theres loads of them cheap in a little shop near where I live But if it's too late, I wont buy things to put in them yet.. Just buy the books for another time.

I do have a list, I just want to add to it because.. Well just because I can, really! Haha.

Are the socks reduced in all Boots and are they stripy or plain? Will have to go and pick some up if they have them in our local! I'm going mad because I want to go and buy loads of supplies but am completely skint as my Jobseekers money still hasn't gone in nearly two months after starting my claim :mad: However, when it does go in I should be getting quite a bit backdated so I'll be able to go and do a crafty supplies mission

I hate it when money doesnt get paid on time. My EMA is like that as well. I have £30 at the minute though so I'm going to spend it tomorrow .
Hope your money gets paid soon Have fun spending some of it on crafts when it does!

Thanks, I'm sure I will It'll give me something to do inbetween jobhunting, at the moment being stuck in the house all day is starting to drive me a bit mad! I'll check the website, although if they're reduced it might not show online, will just pop in next time I'm in town. Make sure you post some pics up of all these things you'll be making!

Cheapest on their website is £2.50 so I'm guessing the reduction isnt online just yet. I'll see if they're in my local one tomorrow though and report back .

Sure, I'll post the things I'll be making. Might only be able to do it from my blog though because MSE and my computer have arguments every time I try and post here and MSE always wins and then my computer sulks for hours xD

one pack i got were quite dark, 3 black, one dusky pink and a dark purple, the other pack were browny coloured but light. They might have different ones in other stores, ours is quite small

Matalan had some cheap socks, i got 2 pairs of spider man ones for 63p, ideal for my son and nephews sock monkeys!
