I am looking to take aq non-scured and am extremely cautious about being stiched up by a non reputable lener. I dont have a great credit history and have done the Experian credit checker and it cameup 'weak' so i am illusion i will have to take a high interest loan.
I have come across some scams........ie: brokers promising certain rates, not getting them and even websites slagging of this site!
I dont think i will be able to go with a well known lender such as a bank but am not aware of any other lenders that lend safely to people with adverse credit history like myself.
Any advice will help as i have rejected one offer if a loan but a company called FLM loans due to what they were offering wasnt what i agreed to at the broker stage.
Thanks

I would strongly suggest trying your own bank first.Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08

in the current financial climate its unlikely that anyone with adverse credit record will get a loan from any responsible lender.0

I am also considering an unsecured loan. my credit check came out as good, but my own bank turned me down. I mortgage free (joint owner) but find all my salary swallowed up repaying credit cards. not sure what to do0

Is any lender responsible in this climate? Banks just rip you off more subtly. Dont think i will get one there either.
There is always a way!!! I will find it!0
