  • I hope this post isn't at too much of a tangent, but those of you in Birmingham might also be interested in The Big Swish on 17 June next year - it's a clothes-swapping event for women organised by a company called Big Wardrobe. Apparently you pay a fiver entrance fee, take some nice clothes of your own to give away and come out with other people's at no extra cost! They are also inviting you to bring stuff for them to donate to Cancer Research UK.

Sounds like a good way to avoid spending money on clothes if you are struggling financially!
  • On the 26th October the new Financial Inclusion Project is launched in Doncaster providing FREE 1 to 1 support with debt, managing finances, searching for best value, becoming financially savvy and providing a wide range of financial capability training for individuals and groups. Doncaster West Development Trust is managing the project and further details can be found by calling Doncaster West Development Trust.
We are working with Credit Unions, Registered Social Landlords, schools, Children's Centre's, Welfare Rights, Payplan, the anti-loan shark team, The Council and anyone else in the area that has an interest in empowering the residents of Doncaster in the field of personal finance.
