Great price for Microsoft Office

Office Student & Teacher edition 2003, is at £80 now at:
http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductsList.asp?Name=office+teacher

Amazon has it at £92, which is more like the price I've seen before.
Microsoft site has details of who qualifies - but if you are a student (not pre-school!!) or teacher this licenses for up to THREE PCs in your home, for any user! Which must cover a large number of households!

I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft Office, when there are free 'open source' equivalents, but this a fab price for a rock solid product.

Hope that saves someone some cash!

Of course, you're right, but it's still a great price if ppl are looking to buy now. After all, ppl won't out of buying a new PC with WinXP, just because it's going to be replaced with Vista at the end of the year. I'm still using 'old' Office XP, and it's keeping me happy.
Just seen Tesco's trying to sell the above at £109 with 1100points - so if you are a careful user of points then I suppose this would now make it £109.97 - £44 = £65.97 delivered!

  • Certain companies have employee purchase schemes with Microsoft (amongst other companies), whereby employees can purchase Microsoft products very cheaply, as a result I purchased office professional 2003 for ~£13 delivered (was $20). Maybe worth checking your company or do you know anybody who works for a company with such a scheme?

If you are feeling adventurous you could try the office 2007 beta 2 free till 1/2/2007

    http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/beta/getthebeta.mspx

It is a pre-release version so could have some problems but if it is just for the odd bit of work could keep you going till the new version is released

I got this deal from my company. There are some restrictions on use e.g. it can only be installed on one machine - as if we would have done anything else - and you shouldn't use it after you leave your employer.

If this conditions aren't an issue for you then this is an excellent price for the professional edition which includes all the components.
