One of the things I really want to be able to do is make, bake and decorate a really nice cookie. Especially with Halloween and Christmas coming up! Something I can give as a gift, or at least take to work to hand out!
When I bake cookies they always come out burnt on the bottom. Not massively burnt, just - a bit rubbish. Why? Is my oven on too hot, am I overcooking them - do I need longer at a lower temp or shorter at a higher temp? Nothing I have tried so far seems to have made a difference :-(
I use my top oven (not my fan oven, which is very fierce) at 170 or 180 for about 10 - 12 mins (according to the recipe, but I also peek to check on them). I have even bought a fancy non stick cookie tray from Lakeland!
I've just been looking at youtube vids on cookies and there's look fantastic ... why oh why can't I cook well :-(
