missed payments from JSA

at last i have been receiving regular payments of CSA from my ex - as he has no choice now it comes off his benefit - all £5 a week!
Was due a payment earlier in the week, but none went into my account. I will get a friend to ring them tomorrow, but would there be any reason why it wouldnt come straight off his JSA? The only reason i can think of is that he is working and no-longer claiming, but i would be the last to know.
But, due to the absolute mess the CSA made of trying to collect payments from him when he was working, i wouldnt be surprised if they simply 'forgot' to collect it!
I would really appreciate some opinions on the reliability of receving payments direct from JSA please?

The only reason i can think of is that he is working and no-longer claiming, but i would be the last to know.
It could also be because he never signed on that week for another reason, illness etc; he perhaps missed it. or he may have his claim suspended etc;
Perhaps a swift phonecall to the CSA Monday morning first thing incase it is an error on the CSA part. The sooner its pointed out the sooner they can get things moving to get it sorted out.When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
DWP have to take this off then pass to CSA, they can "drop" it off for some reason (e.g. as suggested by borders_dude or if he joins one of their schemes to fudge the JSA numbers - new deal etc) or just randomly sometimes. In such cases CSA have to request them to put it back on which can take a couple of weeks so yes I would give CSA a call to get them to check it and request reinstatement if so. CSA have access to check if he is on JSA (&they told me that ex was on JSA when as far as I knew he was working cos I queried the amount they said I'd get) but they have to formally request the deductions.0

well, we have just spoken with them, and although at first she said he was still claiming JSA, she could see that no payments had been made. She dug a little deeper and his JSA payments have been reduced - which she says means he is coming off/is off JSA now. God, why is it so hard for some (and by no means all) men to contribute towards their own children's upbringing!:mad:
the csa rang me back - she had contacted the benefits office. Apparantly the benefits office are waiting for my ex to write back to them confirming he wishes to continue with his claim?? He has been on contributions based JSA since May - could this be due to having to claim income based JSA instead?? They have given him 7 days to respond - after which the CSA will pass his details back over to the employment team.
Should also mention - it is very probably that he has been working 'on the side', according to mutual friends. He will do anything to avoid paying maintenence!0
