Shampoo

Can anyone offer any pearls of wisdom regarding shampoo?
I have an aversion to spending substantial amounts of money on a bottle of gunk which in a couple of weeks makes my hair limp and dull.
I have read articles praising the qualities of cheaper shampoos but since the death of Tesco's version of pantene I have been unable to find anything that suits my hair (Pantene doesn't work!) and the scent of Apple is not sonething that appeals!
I have fine hair with a tendancy to curl nastily in the damp and have resorted to baby shampoo which in itself is expensive.
Are there any sweet smelling gorgeous money saving alternatives anyone can recommend?

Hi,
I have quite fine hair and I swear by Dove shampoo and conditioner. I've used their products for some time and they always leave my hair smooth and shiny. Tesco are running a BOGOF promo at the moment.
They are much cheaper than the usual 'salon style' products and just as good quality.
Another alternative is the Aussie shampoo range but they are a little bit more expensive.
Hope this helps.0 -
Hi gingermonkey,
You should get more help with this on the I wanna board, so I'll move it over there.
