Spex4less - quality of lenses from online retailers?

Hi,
Went to Optical Express yesterday and found a pair of glasses that I liked. I researched online and came across Spex4less which had a lot of good reviews - many on here.
They seem too good to be true
Think I am going to order from them, but just wondered if anyone how the quality of the lenses from Optical Express (or any of the high street opticians) differed to those of internet opticians (such as Spex4less).
Are they actually cheaper online as the quality of the lens is inferior? I don't mind paying for a better quality lens as my eyesight is something I am prepared to fork out out.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nish

Hi, Its been a long time since I had high street optician glasses, over 12 years probably so Im not sure how they were to be honest!
I have had a pair of glasses I bought from GlassesDirect over 2 years ago and the only problem I have with them is one lense has now got a little dint in it (only way I can describe it) from I think dropping them one too many times lol. They were good glasses though and I still wear them. Looked to buy a new pair as I need stronger glasses and went back to GlassesDirect but couldnt get the same pair for anywhere near the price I originally paid, so went to Selectspecs where Ive got on order a pair of half rims for £11.50. Not sure on the quality yet as I havent received them yet but will update when I do. I got them from their cheap range which is select glasses for £5 or £8 then £3.50 delivery, not bad so hope they are alright.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0
