If you shop at Tesco's and save your clubcard vouchers you can get RAC cover at a fraction of the cost by paying with the clubcard vouchers on Tesco deals (I think it is 25% of the actual cost)0

miaxmia - in theory yes. But the prices listed on the Tescos website for cover seem alot higher than the prices listed on the rac.co.uk site for cover.
Newlife, check out this from Martin:

Thanks for that info - I hadn't realised. However, it is still a good saving and better than spending the clubcard vouchers in store.0

Just renewed Car Incsurance through Local Broker, they were looking £296.00 for Fully Comprehensive Protected Bonus, got a Quote from a different Broker, they Included Roadside Assistance @ £256.00, went back to my Broker whom I have been with for a Number of Years, they came down to the same amount, and covered us for Roadside Assistance, so took out cover with my usual Broker, when documents came Insurance £211.00 Roadside Assistance £45.00. Great Deal all round, and at least covers ourselves If Car breakdowns.
Big Thank you to this Web Page for a few good tips on beating down price of Insurance, and getting something extra thrown in.:j :jgar20050 -
I've just had a leaflet from the RAC where they'll give you £30 back, in the form of £15 twice when you spend £30 on petrol. You need to call 0800 0561753 and quote code "DMMAY"Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
Total debt [STRIKE]£4578.27[/STRIKE] £0.00 :j
100% paid off :j

RAC have a weird 'find you system' that means that if you are in the middle of nowhere (like most of near where I live) they can't find you. I have had several bad experiences with the big two so I am now with Britannia - although I hear Green Flag are the best of the rest.just in case you need to know:

I live in Warrington (Cheshire) and called the AA out to a flat battery once in a retail park in town - they called me back about 30 minutes later saying their van couldnt find the retail park in Warrington (Milton Keynes).
On the other hand, they did find us in my husband's Landrover in an area resembling Wuthering Heights in the North York Moors!0
