Visitscotland sent me this promo code, entitling the user to three days for the price of two of the Edinburgh Pass (a tourist pass which entitles you to free/reduced entry to several attractions, exclusive offers etc)
The code is Pass1. You need to enter it on the edinburgh.org/pass website.
Obviously cost it up to see if it's worth your while as it's quite expensive if you're a first-timer and want to do the castle, Britannia, Holyrood (as the pass does not include entry to these three). If you are interested in doing these attractions I highly recommend the RoyaL Ticket, sold at the tourist information centre on Waverley Bridge. Costs 35gbp for 48 hours unlimited use of the bus tours (all four), entry to Britannia, the castle and Holyrood. :T
