Glasses in photos?

Hello Everyone

I've been to the wedding fayre at the NEC today and was asked if I would be wearing my glasses in my wedding photos. To be honest it never even occurred to me to think about this, has anyone else been asked or thought about what they will do??

Thanks Jem xx

Would you be able to see the photographer if you took them off? lol

TBH, if you wear them all the time I don't understand why you wouldnt for your wedding. I wear contacts because im to vain to wear my specs out of the house and im forever messing with them, they do my head in!

Do you wear glasses all of the time? I can't understand why anyone who wears glasses permanently (and not contacts) why they would suddenly take them off for vanity reasons (i.e wedding photos)

I always think people look too different without them, and glasses are pretty hot [/geek]

Was he asking because of the reflection aspect?

If you always wear glasses then yes, I would wear your glasses. It would look more like you. I wear contacts and hate myself in glasses so I wont be wearing them but H2B wears glasses a lot and looks lush in glasses so will be wearing his (if I have anything to do with it! :D). It is personal choice I guess but I wouldnt be pressurised into taking them off if you normally wear them.

I was wondering this, as a glasses wearer of many years I suddenly thought 'should I wear them on the day' Don't know why I thought this, even looked into rimless ones to lessen the appearence of them, however OH very upset and said he didn't like me in the rimless cos he's always know me in my specs. So now not sure!!

To be honest most of you have already said what i was thinking, I just thought it was a bit odd to be asked! I've worn them everyday since I was 4 (I'm 26 now!) and it would feel really weird not having them on. But yes I would be able to see the photographer, might be a bit fuzzy round the edges though! :D and I'd probably have a banging headache after an hour.....just got a bit paranoid! am ok now though! :D

you can get lenses with a reflection free coating that cuts down on reflection issues with photo's in bright light or with flash photograpy .. contact lenses may also be worth considering! a word of warning if your lenses are transitions it would be worth finding an alternative as even in slightly bright conditions the lenses can can begin to colour and look visibly tinted in photos (great for holiday pics not so good for your wedding pics)

I always wear glasses and it never entered my head to take them off for wedding photos.

Went to a wedding recently and the bride was having photos without her glasses but it just didn't look right and in her case she could hardly see!

Yep I've got the magic anti scratch / anti reflective / anti ugly men magic glass, I hadn't really thought of it, me and my OH both wear glasses and have the magic stuff on them, I will have a word with photo-man and see what he says.

rimless can also cause a problem as the edge of the lens is highly polished and not coated at this point - so photos taken side on of the bride and can catch the light and reflect back if one of them is wearing rimless specs.
