Had an email this morning
We administer the Heineken prize draw on behalf of Heineken and you have recently won a prize. Unfortunately you did not complete your personal details online and I would be grateful if you would reply with your name, address and postcode in order that we may send out your prize.
I haven't receive a wem from Heinekin so no idea what I've won. I'll be pleased with a key ring and anything else would be great.
Thanks Blackmidnight

Hi seaangel,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but think this is a hoax mail! I know someone else got one and of course you cannot enter with submitting your details!
I may be wrong but it is definately worth double checking??
Katy x xThank you to all posters:beer:0 -
I don't think it's a hoax. I got one too (I had received a WEM beforehand though). The email came from someone @mirada.tv which is a legitimate company.0

Good to cross check the e-mail! Don't want personal details getting in the wrong hands and seems strange seen as you have to submit them!Thank you to all posters:beer:0

Maybe I am too trusting but I didn't for one minute think it was a hoax. I know with a number of comps, bowtime for example, I have won and been either emailed or called for my details to be confirmed or because the company hadn't been passed them.
It would be interesting to know whether many others got the email.0 -
Thanks everyone .The email was from someone @mirada.tv and like spacebabe103 ,I've had emails asking me to confirm my details of entry into a comp so didn't think it was a hoax. Curiosity got the better of me so sent another email and I've won ......A keyring. Thanks to all posters. You're all angels:A0

I had the same email from transmission@miranda.tv asking me for my details. I had however previously received (about 15 hrs before) an email from
NO-REPLY@heinekencompetitions.co.uk telling me that I had won a keyring.
Hope this helps.0 -
I got this Email too and was wondering about it. I do enter the Heinekin comp and had won and been asked for details which I replied to. I then got this extra Email which I again replied to but do not know if it referred to the original win or some new win I didn't know about.
The source address was the same for both Emails but person was named in second.
Personally I wouldn't worry about it too much, just reply with your name & address and see what happens.0 -
Was worried as I know someone double checked with Heineken and they had received a scam e-mail. But not sure what the e-mail was, will find out and post.Thank you to all posters:beer:0

Hi, it was me who received exactly the same email as OP - i didn't receive any emails beforehand saying what i had won so i was a little dubious. I sent a message to Heineken and included the email i had received and received this message back:
Thank you for forwarding to us the mail you received recently on an alleged
Heineken communication. This communication may either refer to an alleged
lottery or prize draw, an alleged employment offer or any other promotion.
As you probably have realised, the Heineken brand name and logo are being
misused or fraudulently used for activities in which the Heineken Group is
not involved whatsoever. In some cases, personal names of Heineken
officers, the Heineken logo or other Heineken imagery are even copied and
used for these purposes to give the impression that it is genuine.
Not only Heineken, but thousands of other national or international
companies and brand names are confronted with this kind of fraud.
Also in the case of the e-mail you received (and in case of many other
variations on mails like this one), we would like to emphasize that
Heineken is neither related to the described communication, nor is it
connected to the alleged organisation that e-mailed it.
We explicitly warn the public about this kind of scam on our websites (see
e.g. the information on the homepage of
http://www.heinekeninternational.com). We also report fraud like this to
the relevant (local) authorities like the police and ask them to
investigate the origin of this and other e-mails. We also ask them to take
measures, if possible, against such organizations.
In this context, we strongly advise you NOT to open any attachments or url,
NOT to respond in any way to the e-mails you received and hence NOT to give
any personal information or bank details.
