14" Portable TV £39.99

Before Xmas getting a portable TV for under £40 was proving difficult.

CURRYS are selling a WALTHAM 14" portable TV in the sales for £39.99.

I have purchased one and no complaints, so far.

Ye have also seen the Waltham. Not a bad buy at all by the looks.

Bought a Beko from argos before crimbo for £49.99 so a tenner less is good going.

Does anyone know of any sub £90 21" standard colour tv's? Seen some grundigs in currys.co.uk but outa stock.

    All the best.

Can anyone that has bought this Waltham one from Currys say whether it comes with a wire loop aerial?

I got one for the mother-in-law after Christmas and it didn't have one, but I couldn't work out whether it should or not. She doesn't have a proper aerial socket nearby.

Local Sainsburys last Thursday still had their January sale Lodos 21" FLATSCREEN TV with Nicam & Fastext & 2 SCARTs for £99.99 - about a dozen left on display. Got one for friend and he's very happy with it. Only criticism he had was 'its bulky at the back'. Comes with 1yr warranty and option to buy 2 more years at £25 from memory.

That's ALMOST £90 and after the the £6 off coupon I had AND the 5p off each litre of petrol if bought within 14 days and NECTAR points that IS less than £90.

I didn't think the Waltham had teletext? Can anyone confirm?
