Nothing today or yesterday and didn't go out for family evening meal tonight as Hubby went to something where he got fed. So that save about £50.

£17.00 in TGI Friday's for a meal before we went to see the Da Vinci Code which was £7.60...took my own drink and sweeties that I didn't eat as I was still stuffed from the meal. And I brought the dessert home in a goodie bag. Will enjoy that tomorrow with my lunch

I was quite pleased with myself as I did the big weekly shop and took in two supermarkets (extra temptation!) but spent a not too egregious £25.16 (Waitrose) and £8.67(Tesco). The feel-good factor was helped by getting a 2for£3 discount and a Pigsback coupon discount in Waitrose and using £1.45 of irrelevant vouchers in Tesco, and getting cash back for my milkshake which was overcharged.

I also spent £38.00 on the lottery - as ever, not my money... ;)

Oh dear, my own stupid fault. I ate a bar of chocolate which belonged to DH. It's been hanging around since Christmas but it's still 'his' so it just lies there tempting me. I had to make a special trip to the newsagent, three miles so in the car, to replace it. The makers have increased the size of the bar saying 'More to Share' so I had to buy a huge bar costing £1.59. When I got home I had to carefully break off one row of pieces from the side and file it flat, then warm it a little to smooth it off so it looked like new. Then I had to retrieve the old wrapper from the bin (it was a lounge bin, not dustbin) put chocolate back and try to glue it all back - trying three types of glue to use on the foil!

    All-in-all
    wasted bar of chocolate
    wasted car journey
total watse of 1 1/2 hours!!!!!!

I'm just thinking this is in the wrong thread. I should have started a new thread called 'In what totally wasteful way have you been non eco friendly and non money saving today?'
