It is quite naff. (Well very naff if I'm honest).

I saw a full buquet which looked amazing (can't remember the name of the people who made it) and can't seem to see and photos, that one I've posted is the closest there is unfort.

I have been thinking about how I could make them at home, the only thing is if I made them in my freezer the flower would float to the top, if anyone has got any ideas that would be much

Don't you just put the flower in upside down, so the stem floats to "the top", but that's actually the base when you turn it upside down ...?

Salt will make the ice melt slower which is why they add it.

But wouldn't it make it more cloudy?

I'm not sure quite how that would work as the flower would always move to the same place.

Saline solution isn't cloudy. Not unless it's oversaturated.

But do you even know what salt they use? Do you know if it's table salt?

...tbh I haven't got a clue what salt they use....
I've just had an email through from someone asking who did the sculptures at a venue this week in Manchester (like I'm going to be able to find that out at 8pm on a Friday night!) and I fancied making one myself, I thought it would either look amazing or look shockingly bad, but either way I wanted to try it out and fail miserably myself!

OK then ..... don't completely fill the container with water - just enough to nearly cover the stem and the flower. Freeze that. Then top up with water and freeze again. The flower can't float on the second freezing as it's anchored in the ice from the first freezing.

    1. What is it then?
It's a block of ice with a flower in it.

    This is an ice sculpture.

I've done ice sculpting, its really hard work and you can really appreciate the skill involved, unfort, I have no such skill nor bank balance (they start at around the £800 mark for small mini versions of above) ... as gorgeous as it is I can't afford that.

Don't you mean to say, "If I don't know something to do with an event, it's not worth knowing"?

Otherwise it doesn't make any sense........
