Change of household circumstances

Hi all
I am a NRPP - I will be made redundant in the next 3 - 4 wks and obviously will have no salary until I find a new job. As my redundancy pay will not be received for at least 8 wkls (company is insolvent and will come from Government) my OH has asked CSA for a re-assessment for change of circumstances.
He is on CSA1 and my salary was taken into consideration when assessing household incorme.
Does anyone know if his assessment will go down based on me not receiving any income.
Thanks in advance
Ang

We are on CSA 1. When I was working ours went up by £250 a month when I stopped work to have a baby it went down by only £50 - good luck!0

We were told afterwards that they do not have the legal right to have any information about the partner's circumstances - and to not divulge information under any circumstances. But when you refuse to give it they say they need it in case the assessment is changed in our favour ( ha! ha!) by the NRP having me as a dependent! And threaten to put the amount paid up if you don't give that information. Apparently they can't do that either but we didn't know this until it was too late!0

thanks
I refused for 3 months to give my information but eventually gave in ours went up by £75 per week
Will need to get my thinking cap on

Whilst I can't offer any advice, I can offer sympathy as well as ask other members for answers to my questions.
I am a non resident parent who agrees with paying for his children but does not necessarily agree with the way the CSA go about persecuting people like me who are willing to pay.
I asked CSA for a reassessment in August 2005 and sent all documentation they asked for. It was duly returned but I heard nothing from them for 4 years and that was only because I again asked them to do a reassessment because I discovered that due to promotions my ex's income had doubled to in excess of £50,000. She's a high ranking Civil Servant and has not informed CSA of her enormous pay rises and bonuses. I am semi retired and my income has hardly increased over the same period and is less than half her income! I have since remarried and have given the CSA my wife's part time income details [ maybe foolishly I know!]
The CSA have no documentation in regard to my request in 2005 but due to there being a note on the file have agreed to do the assessment I asked for. I am now in a dilemma as to whether to continue with it all as I do not know whether there will be a decrease in my monthly payments or whether they will increase. Has anybody been in the same situation that can give me some advice? My wife and I are in a real dilemma over it. Help please.
P.S. I'm assessed using the OLD system.0 -
As a PWC their own income doesnt come into it when assessing what the NRP needs to pay. Only if they are on IS it matters as they only recieve £20 per week from NRP and the rest goes to SoS0

Forgot to say that I am on the OLD system if that helps, I know that PWC has had to supply her income details again as she did in the original assessment. Thanks.0

Without seeing the whole assessment it isn't possible to say - it really depends on what the notional assessment is compared to the household income and the protected income. If the notional assessment (amount assessed purely on the NRP income) still leaves household with enough, then assessment will remain the same. PM me if you like and I will let you know.0
