Tearing my hair out over housekeeping

Hello it's me again:o
Just wanted to let everyone who helped me out with ideas for prezzies and parties on a budget that we had a fantastic party for the girl yesterday. :T mermaid theme, decorations by me, pin the tail on the mermaid, pass the parcel, musical statues and balloon bursting for prizes. Only the winner got a prize and no party bags.;) Helium balloon tied to bottle of bubbles instead. The biggest success of the party was a £4.57 bubble machine from tesco. Food was cheap and cheerful and everyone loved it. I printed colouring pages off the internet and roped a friend into face painting!!!
Everyone agreed that it was the best party in a long time...and the sun shone all day... Think I came in at around £70 for party, including drinks for mums and dads:D and an elaborate homemade cake which nearly caused a nervous breakdown. Present for both girls (goldfish, tank etc) around £30. May seem alot but Spent at least half what we did last year.:o
Housekeeping budget is going really well and can't wait to start in earnest in July when my very expensive month is over.:j Thanks again to everyone who helped.0 -
