Hey,
I hope one of you lovely clever people can offer me some advice.
I have a new cream/beige sofa and boy does it look grubby quickly. I tried a little vanish on it but it seems to leave a mark behind even with being worked in and dried and hoovered. Can anyone suggest a good cleaner/shampoo that works and doesn't leave marks.
Thanks in advance.

This is a problem. A couple of years ago I got my first 'grown up' colour furniture. I banned food, drink, newspapers and new jeans from it. I also got some nice cream throws which I folded neatly and put one on one arm of each sofa and chair. If anyone wanted to sit on it with new jeans I made them use a throw. Also, prevents the arms from getting dirty (mainly OH's chair). I need to wash them at least every fortnight and I comfort myself with the thought that if the throws weren't there then that dirt would be on the furniture. A few years on and the furniture is still reasonably clean.
I think light coloured furniture looks lovely but at a price!0 -
I can't help either I'm afraid as I ditched my pale suite for a brown leather one.
I got fed up of living on the edge worrying abut it.
The only cream armchairs I have now are in the bedrooms and they have removable washable covers to be safe.
I don't know anything that would work other than the foam type of carpet cleaner, the type you spray from the can. They tend not to leave watermarks.
I also keep a can of dyzolve,(it's a spot stain remover made by Dyson, the vacumn cleaner people)it's about £6 a bottle but is an amazing product for carpets and upholstery. It removes stains like magic and does'nt leave a watermark.Well it has'nt when I've used it.
Hope you find something to help.0 -
Thank you for your replies. I think part of the problem is that both hubby and I live in jeans.
Will try this Dyzolve product as I also have cream carpets *sigh* so might be good for both.
