Having a go at someone who doesn't agree with your view is just not very adult.

But clearly ok for you to do!

The gift pack is not sealed. It has a lid and 2 drawers that opens allowing you to see the products.
  • There is no need to be so critical of a person merely giving their opinion. Forums (?fora) are about debate. All views, bar extreme, deliberately provocative ones, are welcome. People place different values on an item. It is by no means clear-cut that the Sanctuary gift set is or is not worth £17.50. Galvanizersbaby says her mother loves Sanctuary stuff. So she would consider buying at the full price and £17.50 is a bargain. However, if you consider what else you can get for £17.50, someone else may find the Sanctuary gift set overpriced even at £17.50. In fact Deeds may be helping someone by warning them to check that they are happy with what they are getting for their money before they buy. I presume the gift set is sealed so once you open it to check the contents you can't take it back.

Galvanizersbaby is a tight wad so she wouldn't consider buying at full price (sorry mum :D)

Just been to Boots and bought several Christmas presents.
Came home with £114 worth of pamper items but paid (in Boots logic) £31

I started off at the ACM where I printed a 200pts wys £30, then checked the vouchers I'd got from the mailing this week, and also checked what DS had got in his.

Then I picked up 3 X OOTW and was about to head to checkout. Then I realised that I had a 350pts wys £40. I may be back in nearer Christmas and spend £30 (and be able to use another ACM voucher) but I doubt if I'd be as close to £40 again, so decided to look for something for £5 to get the extra 350pts. Eventually headed back to gifts shelves and picked 3 X nailfile sets @ £3.

Off to checkout I headed with very loaded basket. SA put everything through and laughed when I explained it could get complicated. She knows me well. Everything went through without a hitch.
    3 X OOTW @ £17.50 on 342. £35 (instead of £105)
    3 X nail files @ £3 on 342 £6 (instead of £9)

    Total to pay £41.

    First she added double points 164 x 2 ----> 328pts
    The 350pts wys £40
    > 350pts
    200pts wys £30 from ACM
    > 200pts
    DS had 150pts wys £20
    > 150pts

So 1028pts onto card, thus in Boots logic it all cost me £30.72!!!!

That's the most fun I've had in Boots for months. There have been no fun combinations to play with.
I'm definitely quite happy with £114 worth of goods for £30.72
I've also now got 3 Christmas gifts and 3 little things for stocking fillers.

I'm quite happy with that :)
