I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread, telling ppl which shops extend their returns policy for xmas gifts and if they offer gift reciepts. I only shop at small number of shops so will need your help too.
Today i was at TK Maxx, with their short 14 days return with receipt only policy. I wondered how this would effect ppl buying xmas gifts. I asked a SA, this year they will not be doing the gift receipts. But from 18th October xmas gifts brought can be returned 17th January 2010. But you must tell SA at time of purchase, i think they mark on the receipt tat its for xmas. This is handy even if you dont buy things for xmas as it will give you longer to decide if that "dress is really wat am after". But forgot to ask if would be for refund or just a exchange.
Towards the end of October more shops will offer extended dates for xmas gifts. So wont know which this till then, as they may change them. But most print details it at the bottom of the reciept.
But Next always offer gift reciepts, just need to remember to ask. With gift receipts the price will not be shown, only until the receiver returns item to store that they will know how much the item was. And the price paid will be the same when returned. So you are protected when items drop in price in the winter sale. So even if you wanted a diffrent size and found the same top in the sale. You would get the difference back on a refund card.:j
