New mobile phone contract with DMP?
Comments
-
Myself and my partner share my phone and together we use most of the minutes.
I have seen cashback deals that would reduce the cost to a tenner a month or so, hence my query about taking out a new contract.
Does a mobile phone contract count as credit?
I didnt know that. I will check.0 -

Well they will need to perform a credit check at least. So to my somewhat limited knowledge it's at least in the same area as credit. Also I suppose the fact that your phone bill is payable in arrears (or at least partly payable in arrears) may have some effect.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

Hello Andy40,
Sorry if you think my post is sweeping and judgemental.
However I still stick by the principals of my point which is that if you have had debts in the past then the trick to avoiding debt in the future is to limit your spending to your income.
Therefore moderating your usage of lots of things such as mobile phone use, making a payg or sim deal better than a contract.
Moderation should not get anyone in trouble or debt.
It is also an interesting point about DMP and a new mobile contract being considered more debt. has anyone got exact details how this is not allowed when in DMP. Does it just apply to a new contract with a different provider? There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Why not get a great O2 Pay & Go Sim Card there are 5 different tariffs to choose from:
http://freesim.o2.co.uk/
I am on the O2 Unlimited tariff and pay £15 a month to get Unlimited Texts and Calls to other O2 Numbers. This is perfect for me as the girlfriend is on O2 also
Better than having a contract to worry about!0
