A bit of advice needed please...My daughter is nearly 3, i love the winnie the pooh tv and i know she would love it too but i am in a dilemma as to whether it is ok for a 3 year old to have a tv in her room? She doesn't watch much tv but as she is getting older she really likes to watch the occasional disney film?
The tv will not be plugged into an aerial it will solely be used for the dvd, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks in advance,
BecciIt costs nothing to be nice...:)

That's a question! Personally I will not allow my 4 year old daughter a TV in her bedroom. Not that she's bothered because she only watches a couple of hours of TV a day.
However, when we were on holiday recently, her bedroom had a TV - it may have been a novelty - but she would not sleep..until I put it off when the programme ended.
I don't particulary want her to fall asleep watching TV either, she's in a good habit now of knowing bedroom is to relax in and have a story before bedtime. If she wakes up in the morning (and finds everyone else asleep) and if she can't nod back off, she'll have a look through some books or catalogue.
But of course it's totally up to you, I know people who allow their kids TV in their room, fair enough.
The trouble is those TV's are sooo cute!;)

Thanks for your advice welsh lamb and traceytasha, I agree with what you are both saying.
My daughter usually watches less than an hour of tv as she gets distracted with other stuff and the hour that she may watch is usually disney dvd like sword in the stone, finding nemo etc
It is a difficult one really the tv and dvd is soooooo cute and a great price....what shall i do?It costs nothing to be nice...:)

Re the baby/toddler tv in bedroom debate...
Our Little girl has had a tv in her room since she was 16 months old. We let her play in her room if we are busy upstairs and she loves watching videos / listening to them while she plays. In our experience it makes her bedroom a more friendly place and that helps to make it more secure for her to sleep in. She knows that there's no telly at bedtime and it's time to sleep so we have no problems in that respect.
I love the pooh bear TV but I would really be buying it for myself if I'm honest as she has a perfectly good (if not boring grey) telly already!
But still it's £75 on a bit of plastic casing at the end of the day.(Talking myself out of it cos they are sooo cute LOL)0 -

We had the same dilemma with my 5 year old and decided she could get a tv for her 5th birthday. Like you it is not plugged into an aerial but she is allowed to play her v-smile or watch a dvd. It probably gets used 3 times a week but it is good as it means I can take the kids upstairs and let them watch a dvd whilst I'm cleaning the bath, etc.
I bought the pink princess one and am now gutted at seeing this one and also as they don't have the pink dvd player but have ordered the cd player and clock which 5 year old was getting for xmas anyway so xmas shopping has now begun!!!!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680 -
Our little lad has had a television in his room since the christmas before last, its rarely on, usually we have 'friday night treat night
) which is when daddy goes to the pub, mummy gets to sit and read MSE, and the kids have a traet snack and watch a dvd together in bed. Its not connected to an arial. imho so long as its not on constantly, kids being sent into their rooms to sit in front of it all the time, I see no harm in it.
Thanks for the link OP, seriously considering one for dd, excellant price!0
