Scam? Marketing? or have I really won?

Morning all,

This morning I got a text and an email from someone called Redseven who are apparently the partners of 'ukbride' and I've won 2nd place... ring this number blah blah blah

Hmmm thinks I, but it's a real area code and I've called from work and yes apparently 2nd prize is £100 towards any of their products. Which are holidays or hen parties. The chap said he'd spoke to some ladies this morning who had £5 and £10 but it was cool to speak to someone with a real prize. And I do remember seeing that I'd be entered to a draw.... I'm just suspicious

Is this a good prize? is it a real prize?

What do we think???

They do all sorts of packages for hens and stags, all of which seem expensive. In my opinion they are just giving you a discount of £100 towards anything you might book with them. There is a freetelephone number at the top of the site. Give them a ring and see what you have actually won.

If you want further confirmation, pop over to the Comps. Board and some of the seasoned compers will give you their view.

In my opinion it is just a ploy to get you to buy and make a "saving" on their services. So I'd just be wary

i think this firm have various trading names, but seem legit- were featured on one of those turnaround type shows with Ruth Badger? (aprrentice runner up, a while back..)

Sounds a bit scammy to me especially if you havent entered any comps recently. They would be calling you if you had won something and not asking you to call them on probably what is a premium rate phone line.

Hmmm...yeah, always check the small print.

As Littlemadam83 said, it will more than likely be some kind of voucher. Spend £500 and you get £100 (or 20%) off. If it is a prize in it's own right, then why haven't they mailed or posted you this 'voucher'?

If it sounds too good to be true....it probably is.
