Slow cooker -Auto or low ?

My slow cooker has 3 settings - low ,high or auto
which would you think uses less power ,low or auto ?
Presuming auto is thermostatically controlled so only kicks in now nd again ,where as low would be low constant ,any thoughts ? cheers:)

My current one only has one setting. From memory, the auto function starts off quite high/fast and then automatically switches to a lower setting for simmering slowly.0

Low would use less power. I start my SC on high for an hour and then turn it to low for the rest of the day.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
