Has Mitchum deodorant changed?

It doesnt seem as effective since i bought a new bottle. I know the packaging has changed but it just doesnt seem to work as well any more. Has anyone else noticed this?
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Yes my daughter and I have both noticed this, we thought maybe our bodies had got used to it as we've been using it for years, its still better than most others but certainly not as effective as before, sorry cant explain why, would be interested in any other replies or suggestions for an alternative that is as good as Mitchum used to be:)
Thank you for this site Martin

me too, i put it down to sweating more because i'm pregnant, mitchum was excellent in my last pregnancy and when i'm not pregnant dove/sure is fine for me.

I've used that new dove hair minimising roll on, which does a better job at keeping me dry. I've always found roll ons or sticks far better than the sprays too.

I thought I had just got sweatier! I've been alternating using Mitchum with Dove roll on (the navy blue one). I was always allergic to any anti-P/deoderant except Mitchum and it used to be great at keeping me dry. Recently it seems to have lost its efficiency and Dove seems a bit better (but I can only tollerate Dove a dew days before the itchy rash returns -sigh).

I bought some a couple of weeks ago for the first time in about 6 months and it nearly took the skin off my underarms, they were bright red and sore for about a week  Back to Sanex for me.

Mitchum did this to me too, it look like i had burns. it was very unpleasant fro a while after, I normally use soft and gentle.
  • :( I was hoping it was just the bottle i bought.
Now what am I going to use that works as well as Mitchum used to!

I used to use mitchum because I like the talc smell. Usually, three weeks a month I could go without deoderant if having quiet day: i am very low sweat/odour outside my ''hormonal week'' but obviously like to make sure I'm clean and dry so use antiperspirant even if I don't think I need too. So, when the supposedly strong mitchum, which I have used sincea teenager, stopped working for me I was horrified.

I have been using various things on special offer, incuding Dove which smells almost as lovely and clean/nuetral, and a couple of others....sure I think? Anyway, whichever smells good/plain and is cheap. (I like a deoderant to sell clean, not overly scented). ALL the alternatives are working just fine, an I feel a bit silly for a ridiculous overspend for nice smelling mitchum for so long. If dove could just do a talc scented one I'd be very happy.
  • I've been using Mitcham for years and hadn't noticed any change but then I only ever use it in the summer-time and swap over to a cheaper brand of anti-perspirant in the winter.

An alternative might be something like Odaban, Driclor or Linden Voss if you need something good and strong against wetness
