Loans - nightmare

Its a long story but I have been trying to borrow 20k since April 2008. To consolidate and start again. I have equity of about £130k and an excellent credit record going back 30 years. The bad thing is I am self exployed and the figures are not that good.
So its catch 22, I am paying out more than I can afford but cannot borrow enough to get back to a reasonable level. My bank and business bank wont lend any more than I currently owe them - no use at all.
I have tried the internet ones and all you get is pestered by call centres trying to tout your loan and constantly asking you for outgoings etc.
Are there any companies that anyone knows who prob charge a bit more but not so damn tough.

If you're struggling then a consolidation loan is probably not a good idea. It'll cost you more in the long term, if you have to claim benefits they wont help with the extra on the mortgage, and if you're like most of us over on DFW then you'll just run the cards up again. Also, if you struggle with credit cards and unsecured loans then they can't do much. If you can't pay a secured loan, you lose your home.
I'd suggest you pop over to the Debt Free Wannabe board for more advice.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
