Just got redirected here from a small poll on Toluna. Nielsen research have devised a small application that runs in the backround on your phone - sign up and you'll recieve a download link to your mobile, along with installation instructions. Might be worth reading the site FAQ first though - bally well took credit for a text.
You do get £10 high street vouchers after a month if you keep the application running - then a £10 each three months thereafter.

Thanks, it'll be interesting to see whether the OS lags at all running the software.

It doesn't at all. I'm capable of multitasking as usual. Doesn't seem to affect the RAM in the slightest, either.

anything that collates information from a personal device is bad news. look at it as Malware or Spyware. it's doing the same thing

Look at the website mxk1000, it's a collaboration between Nielsen research and Nokia so not exactly malware.

Not everything is malware. *rolls eyes* If there was the slightest doubt in my mind I wouldn't have installed it on my phone, never mind posted about it. Nielsen are very respectable, as are Nokia. If you don't like it, fair enough. Doesn't mean your suspicions are correct, however.

I agree- my privacy is worth more than the rewards they offer- it is pretty much spyware, but you are getting paid. I got offered to do a similar thing, also from Neilsen, to my computer for what worked out as £20 a year- never gonna happen.

It is "safe" though (ie, not going to crash anything) but I personally wouldn't touch it with someone elses bargepole.
