I dread to think how many there are near me ... We've got an Asda, a massive Asda Walmart, three Sainsbury's, two Tesco Extras, a couple of Tesco Express stores, a Morrison's, two branches of Lidl, two of Aldi, a good few Co-op's and a Waitrose (two if we stretch it to fifteen miles). There's also at least one Iceland.
  • 4 tesco, 5 asda, 4 morrisons, 5 lidl, 8 aldi. Thats just a quick search for those 5 supermarkets.
I'm in a small village 8 miles from anywhere in central Scotland and thats the results.

Within 10 miles we have 4 Asda, 3 Tesco Extra (plus some local ones) 1 Sainsbugs (plus dozens of local) 3 Morrisons, 3 Lidl, 3 Aldi (I think - might be 4) 2 Nettos, 3 Farmfoods, 3 Iceland and 1 Waitrose. There are probably more but it's too early in the morning!!

I'm just curious because we have barely anything here.

    We have 3 Tesco's, 2 Morrisons', 2 Lidl's and a Budgens.

Rural Wales here, within 15 miles we have 2 x Aldi and 2 x Sainsburys.

It's odd how there's more than one of the same shop in quite a few places, yet none of others.

I've got a big Tesco direct, an asda, a lidl, aldi and morrisons all within 2miles :) The lidl is literally across the road from me.

Within the town (so all within a mile or 2 at the most) is a Co-op, a Somerfield, a Tesco, Lidl and Farmfoods. The next nearest ones are 14 miles away and they have an Asda, Morrisons, Lidl and Farmfoods.

If i'm going out of town anyway I prefer the Sainsburys that's 40 miles away.

40 miles is quite a journey just to go to a supermarket but I guess if they have the thigns you like then it's worth it!

I only go there if i'm going into that town anyway. I wouldn't make a special trip just for the supermarket. I'm always in town for one thing or another anyhow. :)
