Not sure if this is the right board for this, but it's trhe closest I could find and didn't want to tag it at the end of the deals from sky thread.
I cancelled my sky subscription a month or so ago, and now I use it as freesat. I've never been so bored in my life!!!
My boyfriend has recently moved in with me and we've decided to get a lodger. So ideally we're looking to get sky again with multiroom to go in the lodger's room and Sky plus in the front room for us. My question is basically if I went back to them and said I wanted to join again(had been a customer for about 7 years) would I get a better deal thatn my boyfriend joinging up as a new subscriber?
I've seen on another site that there's ano offer for freesat people to go back to sky for £5 a month or a free sky+ box but it ends today, has anyone else heard of that?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

wrong board, but my advice is that you might have to go with a "go back to sky" deal.
even if your boyfriend rings up as a new customer, your address will show on their system as having been a sky customer and you would therefore be exempt from new customer deals.
best place to ask this question is on https://www.digitalspy.co.uk on the sky forum.

Thanks I've already registered on digitalspy this morning but while I was waiting for my membership to be accepted so tha tI could post I thought I'd ask here as well.
I don't get what you mean about my boyfriend not being a new customer because the address has had sky, that would mean that sky count the house as the customer and not the person?????!!
Everything was in my name before and came out of my bank, my boyfriend has just moved in, since I cancelled sky, and it would be in his name and out of his bank.Hell yeah!!0 -
if it was in your name and your boy friend phones up it WILL be a new customer account to ask for the above is misinformed....If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0

lewt is correct.
if he has just moved in then its not a problem.0 -
Your boyfriend will definitely be classed as a new customer. Otherwise if for example you moved to house to somewhere which previously had had Sky then you'd be an existing customer. And it would by now be almost impossible to become a 'new' Sky customer unless you bought a new build property:rolleyes: !0

if you go back using Easter as promo code (ends today) you get 6 months half price but you would need to fork out £10 for multi room and a sky plus box."Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0
